Republican State Rep. Forgets Justice’s Name; Calls Him ‘The Black Judge’
Oklahoma State Rep. Mike Ritze forgot Clarence Thomas’s name, while being interviewed for a piece on MSNBC, so just referred to him as “the black judge.”
“Maybe as we see more Republicans, there will be fewer and fewer liberal judges appointed,” Ritze said while explaining how the state judicary might change the course of abortion law. “More of what we call the original intent-type of judge. Your Anton [sic] Scalias and your judge – the black judge, the Supreme Court judge.”
This was not Ritze’s first mistake. There were several misspellings on a monument of the Ten Commandments that he oversaw the construction of.
Including the word “Sabbath”.
