Vote For The Fish?
An unlikely local candidate has emerged in Michigan:
Just take a look at one of the candidates for city council — it goes by the name Twenty Pound Carp.
Last November, the Michigan fish made a name for itself when it was removed from West Park for being “destructive” to the pond’s vegetation. At the time, the 20-pound carp was relocated to a nearby river. But it seems he had greater aspirations.
After establishing a Twitter account last year, the carp — and whoever’s behind the tongue-in-cheek account — announced its intentions to run for a seat on Ann Arbor’s city council.
When I’m elected as a write-in candidate in the Ward 4 city council race this fall, look for some awesome changes, my friend.

@ryanjstanton Main Street will be lined with shanties and low doggeries, the tanneries and sawmills on the river will thrum once more.
