Poll: Most Uninsured Americans Unaware Of Looming Deadline
The Kaiser Family Foundation discovered that 60% of Americans without health insurance are unaware that the deadline to sign up for Obamacare is days away. And 50% say they will remain uninsured.
In the six months since Obamacare’s open enrollment started, 33 percent of uninsured Americans said they’d tried to sign up for coverage, either through the law’s marketplaces, Medicaid or directly through an insurer — meaning two-thirds have not.
The poll, conducted March 11 to 17, surveyed 1,504 U.S. adults. The margin of error is three percentage points.
