Wackadoodle Republican Vows To Overturn Phony Agenda 21 Plan To Steal Private Property
Joni Ernst, a candidate for the U.S. Senate and a Republican lawmaker, posted a video which vows to overturn Agenda 21, which she sees as a Untied Nations plot to steal property rights. Ernst is echoing Glenn Beck and it’s pretty frightening.
The Iowa Democratic Party posted the video in which she says in part, “One of the implications to Americans, again, going back to what did it do to the individual family here in the state of Iowa, and what I’ve seen, the implications that it has here is moving people off of their agricultural land and consolidating them into city sectors and then telling them, ‘You don’t have property rights anymore. She added, “These are all things that the UN is behind, and it’s bad for the United States, it’s bad for families here in the state of Iowa.”
Agenda 21 is a non-binding, suggestion-filled “action plan” the United Nations generates whenever it holds any kind of major international summit. This plan, which Ernst sees as a nefarious plot, emerged from the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development, held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 was dedicated to addressing the most vexing environmental problems of the time.

Ignore the real problems, instead toss an imaginary one out there and fight like hell to defeat it–victory!

Please stop using derogatory terms which imply mental illness. I am not a whackadoodle, nor a nut job, whacko, looney or batshit crazy. I have a mental illness and I am not an extremist anything.
This only further stigmatizes people like me who have a mental ilness.
Say extremist instead please.

And if she has a diagnosed mental illness, then say it…but make sure you know that for a fact. I have PTSD from a gun assault and depression.

I do understand your sensitivity and appreciate it. I have had to deal with others who have had mental illnesses. But the use of whackadoodle in this case has to do with the ideas being espoused which are not fact-based or based in reality. The ideas are whackadoodle/ Now Ms, Ernst first campaign ad had her talking about her castrating pigs.
This is not your typical political campaign content. Since the ideas Ms. Ernst is using to present herself as a political candidate are whackadoodle, then it is reasonable to associate Ms. Ernst’s beliefs to the ideas she is espousing.

I respectfully disagree. Using the term before her name in the title suggests she has a mental illneaa. They are extreme views and many could say extreme views are not based in reality.
Extremist is still more acurate, imo, and less likely to imply mental illness, further stigmatizing those of us wiith a mentalbillness

I appreciate your answer. We can both respectfully agree to disagree on this topic and go on to discuss other topics. All my best wishes.

It is refreahing to have a peaceful discussion even if we do not agree
I wish everyone could do this. Thank you and please support the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act, HR3717.
It contains the best set of reforms I have ever seen to repair the broken mental healthcare “dys-system”. It is sponsored by a Republican and I am woman enough to say I fully support it even though I loathe much of what the Republicans are doing. We need Dems to show they can do the right thing…which most Reoublicans cannot do with Democrat sponsored bills.
Thanks for listening
