troll-dolls-2[su_r_sky_ad]Score a big one for the good guys! The notorious (and still anonymous) Busta Troll has done the “rightwing nutjobs” a favor, making them look good by raising $2000 for Plannned Parenthood in their names:

Busta Troll, the mastermind behind the infiltration, acquisition, and covering with goat memes, of a Facebook page that posted a Photoshopped image of President Obama’s lynching, has been the proverbial pineapple in Hitler’s rectum (bonus points if you get that reference) lately.

Ever since Busta gained a small amount of fame from his takeover of the “Obama lynching page” and subsequent “goatings” of other racist bastions of misinformation, a massive conservative effort began to uncover the identity of Busta Troll, with the Examiner’s David W. Thornton acting as a mouthpiece for virtually anyone who wanted to whine that their Facebook page was now under the control of goats.

Thornton often posted unverified information in his fervor to “out” and destroy the liberal thorn in conservatives’ paws. Recently, that came back to bite Thornton when the identity of Busta Troll was revealed on Facebook. Thornton, leaping on the opportunity to “out” the notorious trolls, requested an interview with Busta – or, “Christopher Lyman” as they believed him to be.

Busta Troll told Thornton:

“I started goating pages because I can’t stand it when a page posts ridiculous rumors that can be easily debunked by five minutes of searching Google. When they post those things and won’t listen to reason, I feel it’s better for the general public to see a harmless picture of goats instead.”

Of course, Busta’s personal information is safe, and Thornton has egg on his face. “I don’t think they care about the truth at all,” Busta told AATTP.

“Kevin Kopper,” a Facebook page that “outed” Busta’s personal information, had posted that he offered a $1,000 reward for the “information.” Busta, in a video released celebrating this victory, stated he donated the $1,000 to Planned Parenthood.

As people praised Busta for the donation, he felt guilty. While that line was inserted into the video in an effort to have some fun, the troll began to receive praise for the donation. Busta decided that he needed to fix this grievous error.

I was following this on FB as it was happening. I remember Mr. Troll announcing he’d been outed, and a few hours later took down his FB page due to threats to his family. I was devastated. My son assured me all would be fine. He was more familiar with Busta’s shenanigans than I.
