A Very Bad Day For Chris Christie
Unless you consider being booed and heckled at a pair of events to be a good day, this was not good at all for the New Jersey governor.
In the morning, he traveled to Paterson to swear in Mayor Jose Torres. According to the Star-Ledger, while at the ceremony, Christie was booed by “about five dozen Paterson public school teachers” who were protesting their contracts and “jeered every time the governor’s name was mentioned.” The paper reported the teachers chanted “Christie’s gotta go!” and shouted “Liar!” as he left the stage following a brief appearance at the ceremony.
Christie also faced protests over his handling of contracts with teachers unions later in the day at a town hall in Caldwell. During the event, he was regularly interrupted by protesters. Though hecklers were promptly escorted out, new ones continued to emerge and shout at Christie throughout the event. Christie blamed “union heads” for the disturbances.
“They bring these folks in here to yell and scream and disturb these meetings. I gotta tell you the truth: After being governor for five years, having them yell and scream at me doesn’t bother me one damn bit,” he said at one point.
“I don’t mind them,” he insisted later.
Christie has had a fraught relationship with teachers unions after cutting funding for New Jersey’s school systems. He increased education funding slightly in his most recent budget, which he signed Monday.
However, a group of protesters apparently attempting to speak simultaneously — by reading lines from their phones — seemed to particularly irk the Republican governor, who accused them of getting “their lines fed to them.”

Heck, he has been ignoring them for years. He just does what he wants. Constituents are just a pain in the rear-end to Christie.

Seriously, the very bad day for Fat boy is coming up when he’s placed under indictment for securities fraud, bribery, receiving payoffs in exchange for contracts, and other stuff that will be his large behind in an orange jumpsuit for many years.

Perhaps he still thinks he’s got a shot at the Presidency…He must be trying that old Bush 41 “kindler/gentler” approach. He’ll blow up soon though, I’m sure of it.

The BridgeGhazi US Atty is now also investigating $1.8 billion Christie illegally ripped off for NJ roads from the Port Authority tunnel he cancelled! That’s plus $2.5 B+ in pension money pocketed by Big-Boy to balance his overfed tax cut budget.

I would LOVE it–and so far he hasn’t had anything nice to say about them and in fact has been critical of their plans to starve the poor out of existence. If you don’t mind, I’d like to pass that idea along whenever appropriate.

He’s just another blatant example of an elected official who is so corrupt to the core that he refuses to tell the truth about anything his constituents care about. He’s a Big Man alright but I am not referring to his weight.

He is yesterdays news, all that is left is his destiny with inevitability. His existence has nothing to do with and never will have anything to do with most Americans. New Jersey has to deal with their rubble, their mess. They broke their state when they voted for this charlatan crooked Republican. They need to address it.

Despite what he says, Christie is bothered by these teachers because he knows they care about kids getting a good education, most of them are women, and they vote. They could also make it hard for the next GOPTPer wanting to be governor of NJ to get the job. That he blames the teachers protesting against him on “union heads” shows how out of touch he is. I’m a retired teacher, and we don’t need anyone to tell us when an injustice has been committed against educators and students.
