14-Year-Old Shoots 9-Year-Old Brother In Face With Shotgun
Of course, it wasn’t supposed to happen. It’s just that, once again, there was a gun and children present. And a dad who thought it would be a really fun time to go shoot some pigeons.
The boys shot pigeons with their dad earlier in the day, and then went to a local store where the older brother accidentally fired his shotgun (video below).
“The 14-year-old told detectives he had his finger on the trigger and he didn’t see his brother originally, but he knew he was walking nearby,” Merced County Sheriff’s Captain B.J. Jones told ABC 30. “He heard his brother crying and then he saw he had an injury to his right side of the face.”
“Sometimes it’s referred to as a pheasant gun,” added Jones. “The caliber is a .410 shotgun shell so it’s pretty menacing. It’s designed for foul and other small game.”

My childhood was very different. Back then, people felt bad because they thought it was rough but damn, these days it’s all gangsta with these ‘accidental’ shootings.

That’s so Cheney! Emerging from his bunker his devotees copy his only success, shooting buddy Harry Whittington in the face and waiting 24 hours to sober up before speaking to police.

“Them aint scars, boy,,,them’s ‘Freedom Marks’! You shud be proud!”
(Honestly? When we were growing up? The thought of what Poppa and Dad would think of/do to us if we screwed up like that was MORE than enough to instill a sense of firearm awareness in me and my male kin… we respected guns, instead of worshiping them…)
