This is what I like to call a brief moment of clarity which underscores the reality that since inauguration day January 2009, much of the criticism of the President has been a load of intellectually dishonest, hypocritical bullsh*t.

It started pretty much from day one of President Obama’s administration. On January 27, 2009, the President issued executive order (Presidential Determination) # 2009-15 Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza. Within hours, right wing blogs were ablaze with accusations that the President was going to spend taxpayer dollars to emigrate Palestinian terrorists into the United States.

The truth was that President Obama’s order was a virtual photocopy of Presidential Determination 2007–19, issued by President George W. Bush May 10, 2007. The order was for humanitarian assistance to provide medical supplies and drinking water for Palestinians. Mr. Obama’s order was a routine extension of the order issued by his predecessor.

It has only gone downhill from there. Lies and hypocrisy have been the stock in trade for the President’s critics for five and a half years. Benghazi, the IRS, death panels, etc. etc. etc. Right wingers, nobody believes your bullsh*t anymore. Given the context I described in this post, if you still cannot understand why we do not take you seriously, you truly are beyond hope.

Bush looked into Putin’s eyes and saw a man who felt his party could control the government for the rest of the century. Having that in common of course they both felt not only a kindred spirit but of course also a level of trust.
As my friend Lou Hosmer wrote me the day Karl Rove claimed that he had figured out how to keep Republicans in power in the US through the end of the century:
“Translation, if we can get GW appointed by the Supreme Court and then get him reelected after he invaded the wrong country then we have truly figured out the electorate. They are idiots.”

I’ve always felt GWB’s presidency was some kind of Frankenstein experiment by Rove. He took one dumb-as-a-stump man and mixed it with one part high-profile political name, one part dirty tricks and two parts RNC money … voila GOP presidential candidate. SCOTUS was the icing on the cake.

It is imperative that all progressives/liberals and independents vote out Republicans this November. It does not matter if they are Baggers or moderate conservatives either because (imo) they are all obstructionist do nothings who hate Obama. VOTE PEOPLE VOTE!!!!
