NJ Cop Who Said Constitution Doesn’t Matter Resgins
Helmetta, New Jersey police officer Richard Racine told a person he was questioning that the Constitution doesn’t matter, declaring, “Obama has decimated the friggin’ Constitution, so I don’t give a damn.” Now, Racine has resigned according to borough Administrator Herbert C. Massa.
Massa said Recine gave him a letter of resignation earlier today.
“He said he hereby resigns, immediately,” Massa said. “He is no longer on the police force.”
According to the borough administrator, Recine served for more than 29 years on another New Jersey police department before retiring and coming to work as a part-time police officer in Helmetta. He earned $13.39 an hour.

I would think a false birth certificate would be ample reason for impeachment? I mean, just because sheriff pink panties is sitting on the crucial evidence until after the 2016 elections don’t mean they can’t start spending gazillions of TAXPAYER dollars to form investigation committees, endless VERY EXPENSIVE congressional hearings the chairperson can just up and walk out on, and keep an appointed committee from doing anything for going on four months – like the BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI monies appropriated, so what’s the holdup?

it’s not that dangerous of a job – safer than a taxi driver, street sweeper (if there are any left), mothering, construction worker. It’s become an “I’m a cop” tv version of, hell, I don’t know the word, but american cops are overpaid if danger is the criterion – give it to primary school teachers instead.

Ask yourself, would $12k a year even pay your rent or house payment? Seriously this sounds like a very conservative arguement. To continue your arguement then if being a cop is such a safe job why would we ever need more gun laws? If paying $12k a year was enough that we should never expect anyone making so much money to ever say anything stupid than why aren’t we all working for that little? Isn’t it just greedy to ask for more than that, ever? I’m sorry but to me this is a classic case of you get what you pay for and he should have been able to appologize and have every single one of us say . . . “hey I understand, we all say stupid stuff when we are hungry.” Pay more taxes people, pay people more and either get better people or fire them if they can’t do the job. Otherwise I have no sympathy.

Just a reminder: this particular officer had already retired from another jurisdiction, so he had retirement pay as well as his part time job. He wasn’t deprived.

Yes and most of the skits on The Muppet Show were actually pretty clever. The guest stars were actually quite good too. I exagerated to make my point. The point is that if I’m going to arm someone and give them the power to arrest me I think that person should be paid enough to feed a family.

It’s a matter of consistancy. In 2006 a police officer in Northern Lower Michigan was fired for saying something similar about George Bush. Now in this case the guy reseigned so it’s a bit different but my defense of the liberal cop saying something stupid was the same as my defense of this guy. Both were underpaid public employees and both were just parroting some talking points from their respective party’s extremists. Both were idiots. Neither should have lost their low paying job.
