Jersey Housewife Goes To The Big House
Teresa Guidice was sentenced to 15 months in prison followed by two years of probation. She also has to pay $414,588 in restitution. Husband Joe got 41 months and has to pay $414,588 in restitution.

In March, the couple pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges, admitting they hid assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitted phony loan applications to get some $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.
Under federal sentencing guidelines, Joe faced a potential sentence of 37 to 46 months and Teresa could get 21 to 27 months, though the judge could deviate up or down from those ranges. Lawyers for Teresa, 42, remained hopeful that she might be spared a prison sentence and instead receive probation, noting the need to care for the couple’s daughters.
Joe, an Italian citizen, could be deported after his prison term is completed. His attorney has said Giudice came to the US as an infant and didn’t know he wasn’t an American citizen.
Both Giudices pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three types of bankruptcy fraud. Joe also pleaded guilty to failing to file a tax return for 2004, though he acknowledged he didn’t file taxes on income of approximately $1 million from 2004 to 2008.[su_csky_ad]

I’m sorry, these people were on a TV show? WTF?!!??
Anomaly 100 October 2nd, 2014 at 7:32 pm
Never watched the show. I see no appeal in watching rich ‘housewives’ on TV who are actually not housewives, but instead, they’re just wealthy women with big hair that hire nannies for their children.

“…hire nannies for their children.” yeah, so why do they need their sentences served seperately? like he’s going to play the role of soccer mom until she gets out. whatever.
Anomaly 100 October 2nd, 2014 at 8:42 pm
Exactly. Like he’s gonna be a stay-at-home dad.

IKR? What’s the appeal of loud, crass and ignorant self satisfied boors? Oh, wait, never mind.
Anomaly 100 October 2nd, 2014 at 9:11 pm
One always has to wonder about the sort of people that find it appealing. For example, some people blog about loud, obnoxious politicians all day long. It’s like they have no life. Such a bunch of losers! Oh wait….
tiredoftea October 2nd, 2014 at 9:15 pm
Yeah, too true. It’s a good thing that nobody does that here, right?

Since I know virtually nothing about this subject because I avoid it at all cost, this is all you will get from me.

Haven’t had a TV since Murphy Brown was a hit. Don’t miss it.

My guilty pleasure, or shock time is watching parts of these shows. They are hilarious, the women look like poorly made up trannies and the guys are short squat with moobs and muscle.
whatthe46 October 2nd, 2014 at 8:20 pm
never watched any of the shows but given the charges they deserve what they get. that being said, my only problem is that the way the sentences are to be carried out. if this were your average john and jane doe, they would have to serve at the same time without any regards to what happens to their children. who would likely end up in foster care and split apart.
