Netanyahu Furious Over ‘Chickensh*t’ Quote From U.S. Official
[su_center_ad]
JERUSALEM (Reuters) – An anonymous U.S. official’s reported description of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “chickenshit”, or worthless coward, drew a sharp response on Wednesday from the Israeli leader – no stranger to acrimony with the Obama administration. The American broadside, in an interview in The Atlantic magazine, followed a month of heated exchanges between…

OP:””The good thing about Netanyahu is that he’s scared to launch wars,” the official said, in apparent reference to past hints of possible Israeli military action against Iran’s nuclear program … Netanyahu, the official was reported to have said, is interested only in “protecting himself from political defeat … He’s got no guts.””
He also has no munitions capable of penetrating deeply enough to take out Iran’s nuke facilities.
He doesn’t have the munitions, and even if we gave them to him, he doesn’t have the aircraft to deliver them. They are far too heavy for any of his planes, other than a C-130, to carry, and it is too far to fly.
For Israel to carry out the kind of airstrikes needed to take out Iran’s nuke facilities, it would take scores of planes, when you include long-range tankers to refuel, fighter planes to protect the tankers and bombers, and they’d have to get away with launching all those planes without anyone noticing.
All he’s got is getting the U.S. to carry out the bombing missions for him, and Obama isn’t going to do it.
The reason there have been stories about Israel carrying out such a strike is they have to bluff, so they float these stories. In the past whenever Israel carried out long-range strikes, whether against the PLO in Tunisia, Iraq’s nuke plant at Osirak or the nuke reactor being built in Syria – they never talk beforehand. They let things get real quiet-like, in order to catch the enemy by surprise.
So, Israel’s failure to follow though on threats that go back at least 8 years has nothing to do with having an empty bozack.

Now he has to prove to everyone, himself included, that he’s not what the State Dep’t official said. Look for more Israeli action against the Palestinians soon.

Netanyahu has been playing a “let’s you and him fight” game with Iran and the United States for years. Obama knows that Netanyahu’s word is worthless and that he seeks war without end with Likud’s allies in Hamas.

Imo, it’s past the time that the president and the U.S. exposed Netanyahu for what he really is–a big talking coward who wants the U.S. to do his dirty work for him in dealing with Iran and other countries he considers a “threat” to Israel. He forgets that President Obama is NOT Mitt Romney. Romney said in 2012 that he’d let Israel have the lead in determining U.S./Israeli policy. In other words, Romney pledged to be Bibi’s tool and to ignore what would be in America’s best interests. Bibi doesn’t like to be criticized. He takes every criticism as an attack on Israel, when it’s not. Criticizing Israel doesn’t mean the U.S. doesn’t support it but that Bibi needs to get his act together and work with the Palestinians to create a region where Israelis and Palestinians can peacefully coexist. Former Israeli PM Ehud Barak told Bibi last year that by refusing to work with the Palestinians, he was alienating Israel from its allies. Bibi and the Americans who view any criticism of Israel as an attack on the nation are unaware that other nations in Europe have told Bibi the same thing that Ehud Barak, Angele Merkel, and other European leaders have told him.

I agree with you that negotiation is the way to go. Unfortunately, Israel has traded land for peace and not gotten the peace. The Palestinians have never tried to get what they want through nonviolence, which is also a prerequisite. They have always been represented by those committed to violence.
Not only that, but with their commitment to terrorism, the Palestinians have never shown themselves capable of administering even the small Gaza Strip. The terror tunnels and shiploads of arms, plus equipping and manning a small army sap funds from what should be greater needs.
The commitment to violence has prevented any real industry from having a chance to develop.
It’s just violence, violence, violence with those people. When they aren’t fighting the Israelis they are fighting each other.
This is a culture that never went through the Age of Reason and the Enlightenment and is basically a collection of feudal warlords incapable of administering a nation state in the 21st century. This is where they are different from the Israelis, who are modern, culturally.
It just isn’t possible to give the Palestinians a culture transplant.
Until they somehow move from the Dark Ages, culturally, into the 21st century and get over their Jew-hating, insistence on ethnic cleansing and dedication to violence, there will be violent conflict.
They just aren’t ready for prime time.

“Chickensh*t” is definitely undiplomatic language. ‘Course, just because it’s undiplomatic doesn’t mean it’s untrue….

“Netanyahu, the official was reported to have said, is interested only in “protecting himself from political defeat … He’s got no guts.”
So, he’s saying Bibi is a politician. Color me shocked.

The US is Israel’s best friend. This administration has contributed record amounts to Israel’s defence. Bibi has taken every opportunity to insult and try to bully our president.

Naftali Bennett is overstepping his boundaries by making such a statement that Netanyahu is the leader of ALL Jews around the globe. It’s exactly that kind of rhetoric that makes for suspicion.

One day Bibi will choke on his own ego. I hope how soon.
