Mike Tyson Reveals Sexual Abuse
[su_right_ad]Mike Tyson appeared with Opie on Sirius/XM and revealed that he was sexually abused as a child.
The 48-year-old athlete told Opie Radio on SirusXM on Wednesday that a man “snatched” him off the street at age seven and abused him.
“[The man] bullied me and sexually abused me and stuff,” he said.
Tyson described the perpetrator as an “old man” and said it only happened “one time” while living in a rough neighborhood. He famously grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville neighborhoods of Brooklyn in the ‘70s.
“Never seen him again,” Tyson added.
When asked if anyone ever knew about his story, Tyson said, “It’s nobody’s business to know. Certain people know, who I told.”
He never told authorities either. “I just went through with my life,” he said.

Which may just be a late excuse and explains nothing about the rest of his typically abhorrent behavior. He mostly grew up with boxing trainer Cus D’Amato who treated Mike as a son because of his lack of a stable home life. Were this a real incident, Cus likely would have known and done something to protect him as Mike has said he did many times.

You think he’s lieing or that its just an excuse for something? Isn’t that exactly how a GOP would respond if the sexes were reversed

Yeah, I think he’s lying. His entire life outside the ring has been one of selfish, boorish and violent behavior punctuated by self serving excuses about why he was justified in his behavior. I have no reason to think that this is anything other than a convenient fiction.
BTW, up your game, that’s was a pretty feeble comment.

What can I say? I’ve won my game already. The political sands have shifted, as they always do. During the past 4 years the need to promote libertarianism was greater than ever. We had a culture that believed if you were for small government that meant you were either conservative, republican, anti-gay, anti-abortion, etc. I am relieved to say that is no longer the case.
Just remember, a vote for libertarian or independent is more powerful than a vote for dem or repub as it sends a message to both dems and repubs that they will need to adopt libertarian policy if they want your vote in the future. Doing so also promotes breaking away from a damaged, ineffective, and polarized 2 party system.

Sorry, but a vote for any libertarian candidate is more harmful than voting for a Dem or independent. Putting aside the lack of any cohesive and reality based thought process in libertarian thinking, it is the same as voting for any Repub candidate with their horrific social policies that restrict voting, demonize women’s health and advocate a religious basis to our government.
My preference would be to sit on my hands and wait out the rightward drift of our country that is in vogue. But, I can comfortably vote Dem simply because I can reason with them to slow the slide towards a totally non-functioning Fed and protect the most obvious of civil rights.
