[su_right_ad]Thankfully, she didn’t listen.

In her book released this year, Sen. Elizabeth Warren recounted a dinner she had with President Obama’s chief economic adviser, Larry Summers, in April 2009, when Warren was the outspoken chairman of a congressionally appointed panel probing the government’s response to the financial crisis.

Larry leaned back in his chair and offered me some advice. … He teed it up this way: I had a choice. I could be an insider or I could be an outsider. Outsiders can say whatever they want. But people on the inside don’t listen to them. Insiders, however, get lots of access and a chance to push their ideas. People — powerful people — listen to what they have to say. But insiders also understand one unbreakable rule. They don’t criticize other insiders.

I had been warned.

Warren ignored the warning.

And if the past few weeks are any indication, she can operate as an insider without giving her up outsider credentials.[su_csky_ad]

Larry Summers is part of the problem. Good thing Warren didn’t take his advice. Too bad others have though.

Larry Summers has been rolling over and displaying his belly to his masters for so long, he’s forgotten how to stand up!

When Obama picked Larry Summers as his chief economic advisor, I realized that I’d underestimated the president-elect’s potential to disappoint. No small feat.

Warren will be a leader with a large caucus, she is fearless, says and proposes what must be done and she fights for that goal. I applaud her and respect her immensly

Sounds like a left handed threat to me.

Left.. Right… I don’t care which hand, that was a threat. Essentially a slightly more genteel version of the old protection racket: “Nice store you have here. Be a shame if it caught on fire with everyone inside and the doors nailed shut.”

Many, many women have been told to “keep quiet”. All too many do as they’re told.

No, I think Senator is a great title for her. She will guide this country back from the teabagg abyss of stupid. She will be one of the best Senate leaders we a a country has ever seen. Just watch!

I’m inclined to agree. She has a voice as a Senator that she couldn’t have as president or Vice President.

Warren/Sanders and a Democrat majority in the Senate and House, we can dream.

      • Banned_From_Breitbart December 15th, 2014 at 12:35 am

Noam Chomsky as Secretary of State.

        “Yes we can”

      • raincheck December 15th, 2014 at 5:11 am

“a Democrat majority in the Senate and House”
Make that a super majority… No “bluedogs”

    • raincheck December 15th, 2014 at 5:09 am

I sure like the sound of that… I think she showed us her grit this last week. We need more like HER on our side. If not the next Senate majority leader, then definitely the next President of the United States..
Everyone has their moment, this may be hers.

“I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was fulfill my profession, which I entered before my husband was in public life,’-FLOTUS Hillary to RWNJ’s, similar to misogynist Larry Summers.
