French Police Commissioner Commits Suicide After Meeting With Hebdo Victim’s Family
[su_right_ad]After meeting with a family of a victim in the Charlie Hebdo attack, a French police commissioner killed himself.
…Helric Fredou, 45, shot himself in his office on Wednesday night in Limoges, a city in central France.
Commissioner Fredou had been the deputy director of the regional police since 2012 after beginning his career as a police officer in 1997.
Colleagues told France 3 he was single and had no children, describing him as “depressed” and overworked.

It appears he was on a downward spiral, perhaps this was a tipping point?

If his colleagues noticed he was depressed and overworked, then it sounds like his employer failed him.
Poor man – depression is a terrible affliction. I hope he’s not forgotten.
