how the hell do political figures who work for the people get to be categorized above all others – a president is a guy with a job and is easily replaceable and the guy arrested probably has some of his taxes used to mow the white house lawn – this insane fear of terrorists is just deriorationg what was once a rather fine country.

So if you were president you’d leave the front door open on Super Bowl Sunday’s…? I’m not sure what you’re saying.
We live in a wacky world and call it insane fear if you want, but I do believe there are people out there who might want to do the president and his family harm.

why, as a citizen, does a president merit more protection and concern than YOU?

Yes, in a word. He was chosen to represent 320 million citizens of this great republic, it is our duty to ensure his safety.
I’m just a single citizen who represents no one but myself…the world doesn’t hinge on my every thought or action. Attempting to equate the president with me would be comparing apples to moon rocks, we are worlds apart. My security needs can be meet with a simple alarm system, no one is threatening my life. The president has thousands of threats a day…are you really incapable of seeing the difference…?
