Walker Mocks Clinton For Having An Education
[su_right_ad]Maybe Scott Walker feels bad about himself for not finishing college, because he decided to mock Hillary Clinton for going to Yale.
“I think there’s a lot of Americans who have looked at some of the leaders we’ve had over the last few years who’ve come out of those Ivy League schools and said, ‘Maybe it’s time we got people who are in touch with people all across the rest of the America,'” Walker replied.
Walker, a probable 2016 Republican presidential candidate, has recently been criticized in some liberal circles for never having obtained an undergraduate college degree.
Clinton, a probable 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, has an undergrad degree from Wellesley and a law degree from Yale.
Didn’t just about everybody named Bush go to Yale, too?[su_center_ad]

As I’ve pointed out before, George the younger only went to Yale as a legacy. On his own, he wouldn’t have gotten into community college.

Spot on!

Legacy admissions: also known as affirmative action for the rich and stupid.
Carla Akins February 18th, 2015 at 8:39 am
Yes, I want my President to be smarter than me, I want them to have graduated college. Yes, I know plenty of people of done amazing things with no degree, but in today’s world I don’t think asking for an actual bachelor’s degree is unreasonable.
Larry Schmitt February 18th, 2015 at 8:40 am
Or actually finishing what they started, as opposed to, you know, dropping out.
Carla Akins February 18th, 2015 at 8:43 am
Yes

Taking on as in assuming it. The cons are no more against big government than anyone else. That’s the myth they get their followers to buy into.
booker25 February 18th, 2015 at 9:13 am
Walker has a masters degrees in being a Koch sock puppet.
Barry Shitpeas February 18th, 2015 at 9:23 am
…I prefer Koch Sucker.
Barry Shitpeas February 18th, 2015 at 9:23 am
I don’t think he feels bad about himself at all. It’s a shrewd move on his part – to make his voting public believe that idiocy is something to aspire to.
The alternative would be that the voting public actually learn something – which means Republican support would disappear in a puff of smoke.
rg9rts February 18th, 2015 at 9:24 am
Yup Yup Yup !!! dumb jes like me I’d be a grate presidedent

Now hold on. The man has a valid point.

But that would seem to imply walker does have an understanding of the average citizen. His policies prove otherwise IMO.
Robert M. Snyder February 18th, 2015 at 10:36 pm
There is no such thing as an average citizen.
If you don’t believe me, then try to come up with a definition of the average citizen. Are they single, married, widowed, or divorced? Do they have kids? Grandkids? Pets? Do they live in a single-family home or rent an apartment? Do they drive a car, and SUV, or a pickup? Do they live in an urban, suburban, or rural environment? Do they work in an office, a retail store, or a factory? Do they like to curl up with a good book or go out to nightclubs?
The reality is that Americans are a very diverse lot. The best thing we can hope for is a president who has a rich set of life experiences, a diverse group of friends, and a degree of empathy.
Suzanne McFly February 19th, 2015 at 6:56 am
Sorry, I thought it was sort of implied but I guess it wasn’t easy to comprehend for all. How about middle class, is that descriptive enough for you?
Robert M. Snyder February 19th, 2015 at 8:31 am
A rose by any other name…
Suzanne McFly February 18th, 2015 at 9:49 am
Walker is just jealous his daddy didn’t buy his degree like bushies daddy did.
illinoisboy1977 February 18th, 2015 at 10:28 am
I think it’s a juvinile argument. A college degree is great, but not a requirement to be successful in life. One of my uncles started his own business and made great money, on a 9th grade education. I have another uncle, who has two Masters degrees and, while he was quite successful and well-to-do, didn’t make as much money or acquire as much wealth as the uncle with the 9th grade education. When they get together they’ll discuss everything from economics to politics and the “uneducated” uncle holds his own, perfectly well with the “educated” uncle.
I’ve also seen college graduates who are dumber than a box of $h!t. So, no. Formal education isn’t a guarantee of qualification.
Kim Serrahn February 18th, 2015 at 10:54 am
Difference is that the uncle without the degree has common sense and is a critical thinker to begin with. So he felt he didn’t need it. But in Walkers case he is a bear of very little brain so to speak.
illinoisboy1977 February 18th, 2015 at 10:59 am
I wouldn’t underestimate him. He beat the snot out of the public sector unions, after all. That took some quick thinking and analytical skill.
Dwendt44 February 18th, 2015 at 12:36 pm
Walker didn’t need quick thinking and analytical stills, He has/does neither. What he did have was ALEC telling him what to do, and a Republican/TeaBagger legislature helping him along the way.
illinoisboy1977 February 18th, 2015 at 2:34 pm
That’s fine. Continue to think that and give him all the time he needs to formulate plans to further his agenda. You only harm yourself when you underestimate your opponent.
fancypants February 18th, 2015 at 1:17 pm
that isn’t too hard to do these days when pension debts are at an average of 100 billion. Michigan is the only state I know of so far that has addressed this problem properly
tracey marie February 18th, 2015 at 1:42 pm
Nonsense, it took tapping into fear and lying about how bad Unions are when the reality is without them koch will own more then walker
fahvel February 18th, 2015 at 2:08 pm
so did Al Capone –
tracey marie February 18th, 2015 at 1:41 pm
I prefer a person with a well rounded education, two family members talking is hardly a way to judge the charachter and intelligence needed to run a country and talk to foreign leaders.
bhil February 18th, 2015 at 10:28 am
Dumb remark by Walker but he keeps get voted for so who’s smarter?
Mike February 18th, 2015 at 10:35 am
I don’t expect my president to understand particle physics, because it probably won’t make him a better president. But I do expect him to have the basics when it comes to understanding the world and that means a Bachelors Degree at minimum.
Walker fails that requirement…next.
Ah_Clem February 18th, 2015 at 11:26 am
Someone who say, tried to get an education at the University of Wisconsin after the Governor has slashed the budget by $300 million? One more anti-education Republican .. keep the population stupid so that they don’t know to question the lies.
OldLefty February 18th, 2015 at 12:53 pm

The only Americans Walker is ‘in touch’ with are his Koch-funded overlords, and the working stiffs & students that he steals from!
