The biggest problem with politics in America is that we demonize ourselves to win elections. I guess it is part of feeling exceptional. If we are going to be on top, somebody has to be on the bottom and that turns out to be the other guy next door.

If we are to believe the hyperbolic language from both sides, such as, liberals want all the guns in the world to be destroyed so everyone can live without war vs. conservatives want everyone to have as many guns as one can afford so when the killing starts one can defend themselves while killing all the bad people, and to eat in peace without a gay person sitting next to them, I ask you, what side do you want to win that fight?

I want the extremist of both sides to lose and the people in the middle, without such extreme views to win. If the extremist want to fight it out, they should find a place to do it where it doesn’t bother the rest of us.

Repukes are bigger threat to the US than leaders of ISIS, IRAN, Russia & North Korea. Here’s why:
– None of these countries’ leaders [well, ISIS is a State(?), probably a sick mental-state] can bankrupt the US like Repuke Presidents have almost done time and again historically.
– None of these countries have contributed to the GFC like Repukes have done.
– None of these countries, that I know of, have a major political party collaboratoring with other countries against their own countries like the repukes have done against the US historically.
Some of these countries are against equal rights like the repukes.
None of these countries, that I know of, have accepted the biggest threat ‘climate change’ is real and that human activities have contributed like the repukes.

Yep, that makes sense. They are over there and Obama is here and holding the reins of power. The Founders warned us to defend against all enemies – foreign AND domestic. Obama has proven by his actions that he is no defender of the Constitution, in fact he goes against it every time he can. If he had been a white Republican he would have been impeached by now.

We recently had a white Republican President.
On his watch, despite very clear warnings from security advisers, 3,000 people died in a terror attack in lower Manhattan on 9/11/2001
Then we were conned into a war by a Baghdad taxi driver for weapons that did not exist. The cost for that one was 35,000+ dead and wounded military casualties, 100,000+ innocent Iraqi casualties, and price tag of $1trillion+ and growing as we provide long term care for veterans returning from that pointless, idiotic war.
Meanwhile, as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi explicitly took impeachment off the table. Bottom line, even your hypotheticals are crock of lying bullsh*t.

You are delusional. What a crock of crap. To even think that President Obama has been given anything like a pass on ANYTHING (by anybody!) that he is done is just beyond reason. His actions and words are parsed more closely than any president ever. And his clear accomplishments, both foreign and domestic, are constantly downplayed and anything negative that can be said about him is completely overblown by the right wing echo chamber until it bleeds into the main stream.

No surprises here…it’s been pretty much front and center since Obama’s inauguration in 2009. And if pulling the country out of the ditch it was driven into by the GOP is somehow “unAmerican” and dangerous, so be it.
No, this isn’t “both sides”. One side has clearly gone so far around the bend that there may be no turning back. The other side isn’t perfect, but they are at least trying to guarantee that all Americans get some form of affordable healthcare, are not discriminated against because of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation, and are trying to make sure there’s an increase in the minimum wage…but I guess it doesn’t matter to the “both sides do it” crowd.
The GOP has gone mad. Let’s call them out on that and make sure they are not in power after 2016. You want to sit it out? Go ahead–but you are aiding and abetting a gang of crazies.
