Another Hastert Accuser

It’s getting worse for Denny Hastert.
A top official, who would not be identified speaking about the federal charges in Chicago, said investigators also spoke with a second person who raised similar allegations that corroborated what the student said.
The second person was not being paid by Hastert, the official said.
The disclosures followed Thursday’s federal indictment against Hastert on suspicion of lying to the FBI about the reasons he made large cash withdrawals, which were allegedly used to buy the man’s silence…
When asked about the nature of Hastert’s alleged misconduct, the law enforcement official said, “It was sex.’’

It’s sure looking bad for Hastert, but one would think by now people would have learned to wait before the facts were all in before coming to a conclusion.
After all, at this point people thought Michael Brown was standing still, reaching for the sky when a cop shot him in the back.
At this point, many were willing to lynch teachers at the McMartin Preschool.
At this point, many were ready to hang a security guard at the ’96 Olympics in Atlanta.
At this point, many were convinced that a bunch of Duke lacrosse team members had raped a stripper.
At this point, ,lots of people were convinced something like that happened at a UVa. frat party.
I’m not saying Hastert is innocent, I’m saying at some time or other we need to learn critical thinking and the foolishness of being stampeded like livestock.
