Carson said during the interview the deal didn’t have any accountability, verification or enforcement.

“We don’t have any of those things in any reasonable way here,” he said. “We’ve not stopped anything, except we are now starting a nuclear arms race in the region. It is perhaps the worst deal in the history of America.”

Carson voiced similar sentiments during a recent campaign stop at the Des Moines Farmers Market in Iowa. There, he said President Barack Obama didn’t push hard enough during negotiations.

“Unless we can have full access, 24/7, anytime, any day, there’s nothing to negotiate,” he said.

Maybe reading the deal would have helped.
