The hateful cult picketed the group’s Kansas City appearance, so they retaliated by Rick Rolling them.
As Wesboro members shouted slogans and waved signs outside the Sprint Center Friday, [Dave] Grohl and his bandmates pulled up blasting Rick Astley’s hit “Never Gonna Give You Up,” the song featured in the goofy, bait-and-switching Internet meme.
Drummer Taylor Hawkins waved a sign saying “You got Rick Roll’d (Again),” while another tattooed member of the Foo’s crew waved one saying “Keep It Clean.”
