The manager of a Burger King next to where Laquan McDonald was shot says police asked for the surveillance video right after the shooting.

Jay Darshane told The Chicago Tribune this week that moments after McDonald was shot multiple times, a few police officers entered Burger King and asked to see the surveillance video. He let them look over it and they left hours later.

But when the video was examined the next day, there was a missing 86 minutes of footage, which included the time of McDonald’s death.

Darshane said he testified to a federal grand jury about this months ago, and he insisted that everything was working properly, so it couldn’t have been an error.
