Fiorina Stands By Discredited Claim That Obama Pushed Out General That Didn’t Work For Him

Carly Fiorina claims a bunch of generals were dismissed by President Obama because the told him things he didn’t want to hear. One of them, Jack Keane, says he never served under Obama, but that didn’t stop Fiorina for continuing to insist she’s correct.
Fiorina said, “Petraeus, McCrystal, Mattis, Keane, Flynn, every single one of these generals I know, every one was retired early because they told President Obama things that he didn’t want to hear.”
Now, General David Petraeus left for other reasons, but another issue in what she said was with the mention of Jack Keane, a former Army general and current Fox News analyst.
On Fox Business [Wednesday] morning, Keane told Stu Varney what Fiorina said was inaccurate since he served under George W. Bush, not Obama.
And yet Fiorina is standing by her claim. According to ABC News, this is what she told reporters today:
“No, I didn’t misspeak,” Fiorina told reporters today. “He has been someone of great experience who has been highly critical of the way this administration has not taken threats seriously and unfortunately he hasn’t been listened to and I would listen to him.”
