Trump’s Two Flip-Flops On Cruz’s Eligibility

According to Donald Trump, Ted Cruz either is or is not eligible to be president.
“Do you still think he’s ineligible to be president because he was born in Canada?” ABC’s Jon Karlasked in September.
“No, from what I understand everything is fine,” Trump said. “I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape.”
Note that Karl’s question asked if he stillbelieved Cruz was ineligible to be president. That’s because– you guessed it– Trump’s answer in September was also a flip-flop. Earlier in 2014, he told Karl the exact opposite.
“I think it’s a problem for him,” Trump said at the time. ““He’s a friend of mine. I have great respect for him… but I think if he was born in Canada, it’s a problem.”
