Another woman steps forward with a lurid claim of assault by Roy Moore
Beverly Young Nelson has stepped forward and claimed that Alabama nominee to the US Senate, Roy Moore, violently assaulted her when she was 16:
‘”You’re just a child and I am the District Attorney of Etowah County, and if you tell anyone about this, no one will ever believe you,”‘ Nelson claims Moore said to her before either she fell or he pushed her out of the car. Nelson says she had bruises after but covered them with makeup to hide them. Nelson says she told her sister two weeks later. Nelson says she also told her mother about four years ago, and told her husband before they got married.
RawStory has a detailed write-up of Nelson’s allegations.

Minutes after the press conference…
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), who leads the Senate GOP campaign arm, is calling on the Senate to expel embattled Alabama GOP nominee Roy Moore if Moore wins December’s special election, the first GOP senator to publicly raise the specter of expulsion.
“I believe the individuals speaking out against Roy Moore spoke with courage and truth, proving he is unfit to serve in the United States Senate and he should not run for office,” Gardner said
“If he refuses to withdraw and wins, the Senate should vote to expel him, because he does not meet the ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate.”
Under the Senate rules, a vote of two-thirds of the body can expel a Senator. That would be historic — the Senate hasn’t expelled a member since 1862.
… and…
As an experienced sex crimes prosecutor I recognize the shifts in Roy Moore’s “denials”. They completely undermine his credibility. I agree with many of my R colleagues. He doesn’t belong in the Senate. Period.
